The School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Taejae University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in related fields. This is a three-year, renewable non-tenure track position, and the appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor will be considered based on the candidate’s experience.
We are looking for passionate educators who are interested in pushing the boundaries of higher education. Taejae University, a brand-new undergraduate college based in Seoul, South Korea, seeks to cultivate tomorrow’s global leaders through its innovative teaching method and curriculum. Our students from around the world engage in diverse academic and co-curricular activities founded on active, transformative learning philosophy, rotating through Taejae’s global residential colleges. All courses are conducted through small, interactive online seminar-style courses in English, and faculty members have the flexibility to teach from anywhere in the world.
The new faculty members will be responsible for teaching major elective courses online starting in the Spring of 2026. Representative major elective courses may include, but not limited to:
Full-time Faculty will also have the opportunity to supervise student-led capstone projects online based on their expertise and teaching interests. The standard teaching load will be three courses per semester, with each course carrying four credits..Other responsibilities may include mentoring students, contributing to curriculum design, participating in faculty workshops, and serving on academic or administrative committees.
The starting salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and credentials. Faculty members at Taejae University also receive various benefits. An annual Professional Development Account Fund of $3,000 is provided, which can be used to support the adoption of innovative teaching methods and the enhancement of professional expertise, including the purchase of equipment such as the latest laptop or covering expenses for attending academic conferences.
The anticipated start date is Mar 2026, negotiable depending on each applicant’s situation. New faculty members are expected to participate in online faculty workshops for active learning and course development during the winter, before the Spring 2026 semester starts. Separate contracts for course development and training during this period will be negotiated individually. There is no residency requirement for faculty members.

The salary for this position will range from $65,000 to $85,000, depending on the candidate’s academic and industrial experiences,and may be negotiable based on qualifications.
