Role: Bilingual Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist (French & English fluency)

This role involves delivering specialized expertise in talent acquisition and onboarding, managing the end-to-end recruitment process, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.

Mission

To drive Epiroc's Talent Acquisition and Onboarding processes by transitioning new employees from offer acceptance to full integration. Responsibilities include sourcing, screening, selecting candidates aligned with Epiroc’s values, coordinating orientation, background checks, paperwork, training, and supporting new hires during their initial period. The specialist collaborates with hiring managers and HR in the Americas to meet staffing needs and promote diversity and an exceptional candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment: Drive the recruitment process from needs analysis to advertising, selection, and pre-boarding, adhering to policies and collaborating with HR and managers.
  2. Understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies with hiring managers.
  3. Source candidates via job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
  4. Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates.
  5. Coordinate and schedule interviews.
  6. Maintain candidate databases and recruitment metrics.
  7. Analyze and improve processes using digitization and agile methods.

Onboarding:

  1. Serve as the main contact for new hires during onboarding.
  2. Coordinate background checks.
  3. Organize orientation schedules with local HR.
  4. Address questions or concerns from new hires.

Compliance:

  1. Ensure adherence to legal and company policies.
  2. Stay informed about employment laws.
  3. Maintain accurate, confidential employee records.

Communication:

  1. Communicate effectively with candidates, managers, and stakeholders.
  2. Provide updates on recruitment status.
  3. Respond promptly and professionally to questions.

Continuous Improvement

  1. Identify opportunities to enhance recruitment and onboarding processes.
  2. Implement best practices for candidate experience and onboarding efficiency.
  3. Gather feedback to foster ongoing improvements.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in recruitment and onboarding, preferably bilingual.
  • Fluency in French and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, especially in Canada.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 and applicant tracking systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
