Role: Bilingual Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist (French & English)

This role involves delivering specialized expertise in talent acquisition and onboarding, managing the end-to-end recruitment process, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. The specialist will collaborate with hiring managers and HR professionals in the Americas to meet staffing needs and foster a diverse, inclusive candidate experience.

Mission

To manage Epiroc's Talent Acquisition and Onboarding processes, from offer acceptance to full integration, including sourcing, screening, coordinating orientation, background checks, paperwork, training, and supporting new hires. This role requires close collaboration with hiring managers and HR teams in the Americas region.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Manage the recruitment process from needs analysis to advertising, selection, and pre-boarding, in line with Epiroc policies and in collaboration with HR and managers.
  • Understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies with hiring managers.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates to identify the best fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Maintain candidate databases and track recruitment metrics.
  • Analyze and improve recruitment processes, leveraging digitization and agile methodologies.

Onboarding:

  • Serve as the main contact for new hires during onboarding.
  • Coordinate background checks and orientation schedules with local HR.
  • Address questions or concerns from new hires throughout the onboarding process.

Compliance:

  • Ensure all recruitment and onboarding activities comply with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Stay updated on employment laws relevant to hiring and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in compliance with privacy laws.

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment status and candidate pipelines.
  • Respond promptly to questions or concerns from candidates and new hires.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Implement best practices to improve candidate experience and streamline onboarding.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in recruitment and onboarding, preferably in a bilingual environment.
  • Fluency in French and English, with excellent communication skills in both.
  • Knowledge of employment laws in Canada.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 and familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
