Job summary

ATCO Group is seeking a 2nd Cook for the Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. The role prepares a wide variety of foods, served to the highest standard, and inspects food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

You will work a 14 day on, 7 days off rotation; accommodations and meals during rotations are provided by the company. You will support kitchen operations and ensure equipment safety with careful handling and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking.
• Must hold a valid food safety certificate.
• 2-3 years’ experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Professional oral and written communication.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meals are prepared and served to the highest standard.
• Support kitchen operations in a professional manner.
• Knowledgeable with the equipment that you are required to use in a safe manner.
• Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner.
• Other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
