Job summary

ATCO Frontec is seeking a 2nd Cook to join our remote camp in Menihek, NL. You will support the kitchen staff with food preparation, cooking and cleaning, working 12-hour shifts on a 14 on/14 off rotation. Accommodation and meals during rotations are provided by the company.

The role requires a college cooking program and a valid food safety certificate, plus 2–3 years of 2nd cook experience. You’ll need to multitask, communicate professionally, and work well under pressure.

Qualifications

• Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking.
• The successful candidate must hold a valid food safety certificate.
• 2-3 years’ experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Professional communication skills, oral, and written.
• Work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meals are prepared and served to the highest standard.
• Support kitchen operations in a professional manner.
• Knowledgeable with the equipment that you are required to use in a safe manner.
• Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner.
• Other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
