Job summary

JLL is seeking a Building Technician in Fort McMurray, AB, to be the backbone of our service delivery for a key industrial client. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will own the building’s operational health and help maintain a safe, efficient, world-class environment.

You will perform hands-on maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing; manage the PM schedule; handle service requests via CMMS; coordinate vendors; inspect sites; manage spares; and assist with small projects from

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in building maintenance with HVAC/electrical/plumbing expertise.
• Technical diploma or degree in Building Systems or related field.
• Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Must be physically capable of manual tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Manage and execute the site's Planned Preventive Maintenance schedule for critical equipment.
• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve service requests via the CMMS system.
• Coordinate and oversee work of third-party vendors and contractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections and uphold health & safety protocols.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies; raise purchase orders as needed.
• Assist with small-scale projects from planning to completion.
