**Building Technicians****What this job involves:**As a Building Technician with JLL, you will be the cornerstone of our service delivery. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of the building’s operational health, blending hands-on technical expertise with critical coordination duties. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your ingenuity, solve complex challenges, and grow your career within a global real estate leader.**What your day-to-day will look like:*** Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.* Manage and execute the site's Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for all critical equipment and assets.* Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve incoming service requests via the CMMS ticketing system within defined service levels.* Coordinate and oversee the work of third-party vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and project work.* Conduct regular site inspections and champion health & safety protocols, ensuring a secure and compliant environment.* Manage inventory of essential spare parts, tools, and supplies, and raise purchase orders as needed.* Assist with small-scale site projects, office moves, and facility improvements from planning to completion.**Required Qualifications:*** 3-5 years of direct experience in building maintenance, with strong skills in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.* A technical diploma or degree in a related discipline (e.g., Building Systems, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology).* Demonstrated proficiency using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.* In-depth knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices.* Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.* Physical capacity to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and working at heights.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience working within a high-profile corporate or client-facing facility.* Previous experience directly overseeing the work of third-party vendors.* Experience with budget tracking and the procurement process, including raising purchase orders.* Proven ability to assist in the coordination of small projects or office reconfigurations.* Specific trade certifications (e.g., Journeyman, Systems Maintenance Technician/Administrator).* Experience deputizing or providing cover for a facility manager or team lead.**Estimated compensation for this position:**75,100.00 – 93,900.00 CAD per year *This range represents the estimated base salary and actual compensation may differ. Final base salary is determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
