Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is seeking on-call security personnel to support financial institutions, retail sites and shelters across the GTA. The role is casual, with ongoing recruitment and a starting wage of $18.00+ per hour.

Shifts vary, primarily day shifts, and you will contribute to high-security operations in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates hold an Ontario Security License, First Aid/CPR, and have at least one year of security experience; a valid G/G2 license with own vehicle is

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• 1 year of security experience minimum within large scale security operations is preferred
• G or G2 class drivers' license with your own vehicle is preferred
• Customer service experience is a strong asset

Responsibilities

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication to reduce risk
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR/AED
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons
• Operate gates at gatehouse locations and screen visitors/truck drivers
• Inspect trailers ensuring doors are locked and sealed before departure
• Assist mobile operations teams with security protocols and enhance security at strategic locations
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other personnel
• Monitor CCTV footage and dispatch for emergencies and site security
