Job summary

North Vancouver School District 44 is seeking an On Call Casual Chef for the school term to supervise kitchen operations and lead the preparation of high-quality meals for students. The role requires independent judgment in planning, coordinating staff, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of the kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will have Grade 12, Food Safe certification, and ideally Red Seal credentials with relevant kitchen experience, preferably in an institutional setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, Food Safe Certificate, and basic first aid.
• Journeyman Cook or Culinary Arts Trades Qualification and Red Seal Cook credentials, supplemented by experience in a commercial kitchen.
