Job summary

Vancouver Public Library seeks an experienced librarian to join the Children’s and Teen Services team, delivering library services and programming to diverse communities. You will work on-site at multiple locations and support service priorities established by the Branch Head and management.

The role emphasizes collaboration, policy adherence, and a professional approach to serving the public, with opportunities to contribute to community programs and outreach.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience in programming and community engagement.
• Strong knowledge of youth services (children and teen).

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Branch Head or Assistant Manager, provides service to the public.
• Demonstrates and models conduct that adheres to the library’s policies and procedures.
• Works collaboratively within the teams and system-wide to ensure service priorities are met.
