Job summary

Capital Regional District in Victoria, BC, is seeking an Auxiliary/maintenance worker to perform inspections, minor building maintenance, record keeping, and janitorial duties under minimal direction. The role includes a rotational on-call schedule with weekday and weekend duties.

You will document activities, monitor safety, coordinate with tenants and contractors, and ensure units and common areas are kept clean and in good repair.

Qualifications

• High School graduation required.
• Minimum 1 year of directly related maintenance/janitorial experience.
• Valid BC Driver's Licence and acceptable criminal record check.
• Ability to work in a rotational schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day book with accurate documentation activities.
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections with tenants.
• Perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general repairs.
• Coordinate and monitor contractor activities on site.
• Ensure common areas are cleaned and well maintained.
• Respond to tenant complaints and emergencies.
