• Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management and sales forecasts.
• Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends and community needs to identify market changes and respond while controlling expenditures.
• Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
• Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate and provide direction to Managers and Associates.
• Ensure optimal store conditions through merchandise presentation, pricing and store standards.
• Implement store programs and evaluate their effectiveness to achieve results in the front end, back end, fresh or operations areas.
• Cross-train as Assistant Manager to work proficiently in all store areas.
• Execute asset protection and safety controls; oversee safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service excellence and resolve issues within Company guidelines.
• Support community initiatives and relationships with key groups; participate in company events and sustainability efforts.
• Lead associates through regular meetings, communicate direction, drive engagement and identify high-potential talent.
• Model Company values and manage performance with timely feedback and corrective actions.
• Comply with standards when handling merchandise, including alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items; manage cash controls (up to $250,000 per day).
