WSP Canada is seeking a Geotechnical Field Technician for a major Fort McMurray oil sands program. You will support field investigations, construction monitoring, and instrumentation on a two-weeks-in/two-weeks-out FIFO schedule from Calgary/Edmonton/Fort McMurray.

Responsibilities include subgrade evaluation, soil and groundwater testing, and data collection with geotech equipment. Travel and camp accommodations are provided.

Qualificações

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Practical capability supporting drilling programs, soil sampling, test pits, and field investigations.
• Knowledge of soil classification, subgrade evaluation, and field documentation.
• Experience with geotechnical instrumentation, data loggers, telemetry, and remote monitoring systems.

Responsabilidades

• Promote a strong safety culture by following site health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Deliver construction monitoring, subgrade evaluation, soil testing, and reporting.
• Monitor geotechnical drilling investigations using multiple methods and classify samples.
