Job description

Erosion Control Central Ltd. (ECC) is an industry leader in erosion and sediment control in Western Canada. We are a rapidly expanding company with lots of opportunities for our employees to advance. We are looking for the BEST people to join our team. At ECC, we design, inspect, implement, and maintain erosion control measures to support environmental protection and help our clients avoid regulatory non-compliance scenarios. ECC is currently seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our growing Calgary operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff
  • Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures, review, evaluate, and implement new procedures
  • Establish work priorities, delegate tasks, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Provide leadership and support to the team
  • Manage accounts receivable collections and analyze QuickBooks reports for accuracy
  • Prepare and host financial management meetings, provide accounting suggestions to owners
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and maintain inventory and budget controls
  • Handle payroll entries biweekly on the Ceridian platform
  • Perform bookkeeping duties as needed
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Holds an accounting designation
  • Familiarity with Ceridian Power Pay
  • Strong skills in operations, communication, administration, customer service, Microsoft Office, and scheduling
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and ability to adapt to industry-specific software
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • High initiative, confidence, and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and be flexible
  • Experience with accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections is a plus
  • Experience or interest in civil construction and earthworks is an asset
