Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
• Valid OFA Level 2 certification.
• Minimum 1 year of security experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, or a similar public-facing environment.
• Experience monitoring CCTV systems is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent customer service with a calm, professional approach.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic report writing.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with store management and team members.

About The Role

Securiguard is currently seeking professional, customer-focused Retail Security Officers to join our team at a high-profile grocery retail location in Vancouver.
This role is ideal for security professionals who enjoy interacting with the public while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff. As the designated Occupational First Aid (OFA 2) attendant on site, you'll respond to medical incidents, provide a visible security presence, and support store operations through proactive patrols and exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

As a Retail Security Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for safety within the store, creating a welcoming environment for customers, staff, and visitors.
You'll conduct regular patrols throughout the property, monitor CCTV systems, and proactively identify potential safety and security concerns before they elevate.
As the site's designated OFA 2 attendant, you'll respond to medical incidents, provide first aid when required, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
You'll also support store leadership by responding to customer concerns, documenting incidents, reporting hazards, and helping maintain a safe, secure, and positive shopping experience for everyone.
