Job summary

Kandor Management Corporation in Victoria is seeking a Rapid Response Guard, the first on scene for priority calls across our Victoria sites—the most dynamic role on our team, and the highest-paid. This role requires professionalism, strong judgment, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will maintain access control, respond to emergencies, and draft detailed incident reports.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker Licence is required.
• Valid OFA Certificate (OFA 2 preferred).
• Advanced Security Training (AST) certification.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal + written).
• Security or customer service experience; internal candidates require 6 months.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and make sound decisions under stress.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable manner.
• Utilize tact and diplomacy while interacting with patrons, clients, and unauthorized individuals.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive.
• Maintain and enforce access control procedures, including managing trespassers and unauthorized persons in a fair and safe manner.
• Conduct periodic foot patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and identify potential risks or incidents.
• Investigate incidents and occurrences and draft detailed incident and occurrence reports.
• Maintain a detailed memo book and ensure accurate reporting on all matters.
• De-escalate emergency and crisis situations using sound judgment and communication.
• Assist emergency responders and law enforcement personnel as required.
• Provide support with line management, customer service, and daily operations as directed.
