Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking experienced security professionals to join our team in Horseshoe Bay, BC. The role offers casual, on-call shifts and a competitive hourly pay rate of $25.75 per hour.

You will protect people and property, perform patrols, report incidents, and deliver excellent customer service. Ideal candidates hold a BC Security Worker Licence, AST, OFA 2, and EST certification, with strong communication and de-escalation skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of the site, passengers, employees, and the public.
• Maintain a visible, professional security presence to support a safe environment.
• Conduct patrols, security checks, lock-up/unlock procedures, and routine inspections.
• Respond to security incidents, disturbances, emergencies, and operational concerns.
• Utilize de-escalation and control techniques to gain compliance per training.
• Engage with the public to provide assistance and direction.
• Operate radios and other security equipment; elevate incidents when required.
• Identify, report, and mitigate safety and security hazards.
• Complete clear incident reports and other required documentation.
• Work independently and as part of a team in varying weather conditions.

Securiguard is currently seeking experienced, dependable, and motivated Security Professionals to join our team in Swartz Bay. Location: Horseshoe Bay, BC

Pay Rate: $25.75 /hr

Employment Type: Casual / On-Call – 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the site, passengers, employees, and members of the public.
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence to support a safe and secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols, security checks, lock-up/unlock procedures, and routine inspections.
• Respond to security incidents, disturbances, emergencies, and other operational concerns.
• Utilize appropriate de-escalation and control techniques to gain compliance when necessary and in accordance with training and procedures.
• Engage with the public to provide assistance, direction, and exceptional customer service.
• Operate communication equipment, including two-way radios, and elevate incidents when required.
• Identify, report, and assist in mitigating safety and security hazards.
• Complete clear and accurate incident reports and other required documentation.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
• Valid Advanced Security Training (AST) certification.
• OFA Intermediate certification (OFA 2).
• EST certification is required.
• Excellent communication, customer service, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills.
• Comfortable using radio communication and other security equipment.
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports on job-related activities and incidents.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenging or high-pressure situations.
• Comfortable working independently and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to consistently report for scheduled shifts.
• Flexible availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays as required.
• As this is a casual/on-call position, candidates must be available to support operational coverage based on scheduling needs.
