Job summary

Monarch House seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to implement intervention plans for children and youth with autism and developmental delays. You will work under a Registered Occupational Therapist within an interdisciplinary team, delivering engaging client experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Role requires travel across Toronto clinics and communities, with daytime hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM ET.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an OTA (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification current.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with family, client, and supervisor on session progress.
• Implement treatment plans based on best practices.
• Prepare teaching materials and organize teaching environment.
• Create a positive and engaging client environment.
• Maintain client well-being and safety under supervision.
• Track client progress through data collection and graphing.

Education

Post-secondary course work in Occupational Therapy

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Minimum 1 year OTA experience

Current CPR and First Aid Certificate

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Monarch House your primary responsibility is implementing interventions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental delays and/or motor delays. Your role of Occupational Therapy Assistant is to execute intervention plans developed and supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist to clients in care of Monarch House. The Assistant will work within an interdisciplinary team while providing an engaging and positive client experience in a fast paced and frequently changing environment.

Please note that we do not offer LMIA or independent contractor setup

Work specifications

• Monday - Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM ET
• travel required throughout Toronto clinic / communities

Salary

From $23 - $24/hr
