The Crisis Critical Care Unit 5 is seeking a full-time, temporary (1 year) Occupational Therapist to work within the Crisis and Critical Care Building. Reporting to the Manager, you will be part of an inter-professional team providing therapeutic interventions for clients in the Adult Inpatient Service, primarily in the Crisis and Critical Care Building.
Your responsibilities include conducting assessments (mobility, psychiatric, functional, cognitive), formulating treatment plans, monitoring client progress, supervising students, and facilitating group programming. You will work with diverse populations, contribute to program development, and support research activities.
Qualifications include registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent), and at least three years of experience with individuals with serious mental illness. Membership in relevant professional organizations, liability insurance, and eligibility for academic appointments are required. Bilingualism and experience with diverse populations are assets.
