Job Description

Position Details:

  • Type: Temporary Full-Time
  • Contract End Date: March 31, 2028
  • Department: Trauma Therapy Program
Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including safety risk evaluations; consolidate findings; collaborate with team members.
  2. Care Planning: Develop and document intervention plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  3. Interventions: Provide individual, couples, and group therapy using evidence-based, women-centered, trauma-informed approaches; collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  4. Team and Program Development: Monitor waitlists, participate in intake, contribute to program development, and engage in research and professional development.
  5. Education and Supervision: Deliver training on trauma, supervise students, and participate in research initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Current registration with a regulated professional college (Social Worker, Psychotherapist, or Occupational Therapist).
  • Master's degree in a mental health-related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of clinical mental health experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of community resources and experience with various psychotherapies, including trauma-informed approaches.
  • Ability to assess childhood trauma issues and facilitate relational groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with hospital electronic medical records, preferably EPIC.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional conduct.
