Job summary

The City of Laval is seeking an experienced advisor to lead occupational health and safety prevention and CNESST claims management. You will develop prevention programs, support managers with tools, and coordinate return-to-work actions in a unionized environment.

Reporting to the head of the health, safety and well-being division, you will drive cross-cutting improvements, establish annual objectives, and promote a culture of accountability and sustainable attendance. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in human resources management, administration, or another relevant field.
• Possessing a Certificate in occupational health and safety would be an asset.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an advisory role in occupational health and safety and/or CNESST claims management, in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and implement health and safety prevention programs to reduce absenteeism.
• Advise managers and deploy CNESST tools, identify light work tasks, and support return-to-work initiatives.
• Analyze claims and establish case management strategies to control absence duration and CNESST costs.
