Duties

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Health Canada’s Public Service Occupational Health Program provides occupational health services for federal government department employees, including evaluations, communicable disease services, and occupational hygiene advice.

We seek Registered Nurses to join as Occupational Health Managers, working with a multidisciplinary team to improve occupational health for Canadian Federal Public Servants.

Your work may include:

  • Managing daily operations of occupational health clinical services;
  • Supervising Occupational Health Nurses across multiple locations;
  • Serving as the primary contact for client organizations;
  • Performing clinical duties as required.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in Nursing or related fields;
  • A Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing;
  • Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse in Canada;
  • At least three years of experience in occupational health services, immunizations, and clinical coordination.

Additional assets include advanced degrees, certifications, and specific occupational health experience.

Operational requirements
  • Ability to work up to 5 days in-office and travel as needed;
  • Willingness to work overtime and wear protective equipment;
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg.
