Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre in North Bay, Ontario is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide maternity and neonatal care in a family-centered setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support antenatal through newborn care, deliver health teaching, and participate in quality improvements.

The role requires active Nursing registration in Ontario, current BLS, and NRP certification, plus 2–3 years of relevant postpartum and neonatal experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
• Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certificate current within the last 12 months.
• 2–3 years recent experience in antenatal, labour, birth, postpartum and newborn care.
• NRP certification is required.
• Current certifications: IV Therapy, Fetal Health Surveillance, Cervical Examinations, Epidural Care, Breastfeeding Education (WHO Level I), Peri-Operative role for Caesarean.
• Commitment to family-centered maternity care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) certificate required (within the last twelve months)
• Minimum (2-3 years) experience caring for antenatal, labour, birth, postpartum and newborn patients (within the last 1-2 years) required
• Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
• Current certifications required:
• IVTherapy
• Fetal Health Surveillance
• Cervical Examinations
• Epidural Care
• Breastfeeding Education (WHO Level I course)
• Peri-Operative Role for Caesarean Section (scrub and circulating)
• Commitment to family centered maternity care required
