Job summary

Northumberland Hills Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the Birthing Suites to provide care across antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum stages. This temporary, part-time role requires current Ontario RN registration, obstetrical nursing certification and familiarity with breastfeeding support.

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, uphold OHRC guidelines, and participate in health surveillance and immunization programs as part of employment requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current B.C.L.S Certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation and Fetal Health Surveillance preferred
• Obstetrical Nursing Certificate or recent equivalent experience
• Knowledge of and experience with breast-feeding support
• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience
• Experience in working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Critical thinking ability
• Proven satisfactory attendance record
• Knowledge of the MoreOB platform an asset
• Ability to demonstrate NHH’s corporate values within clinical practice is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to the CNO Practice Standards & Guidelines required
• Knowledge of EPIC Clinical Information System, e-health Ontario and BORN an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide care in antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum phases as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in Birthing Suites
• Follow Ontario Hospital Association guidelines and hospital policies for patient safety and infection control
