Job summary

Aramark is recruiting a Nutrition Manager for a Long-Term Care facility located in Woodbridge, ON. This 4-5 day per week position directs the food service department to meet the nutritional needs of residents within budgets and legislative parameters.

The Nutrition Manager will lead operations, collaborate with department heads, residents, families and contractors to ensure high-quality resident care and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Must be an active member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM).
• Must graduate from an accredited Food and Nutrition Management Program.
• Alternative education is a Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Food and Nutrition.
• A minimum of 2 years’ management experience including administration and supervision in a Long-Term Care or Senior Living setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, management, the residents, and Client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Food Services department in conjunction with direct reports and coordinates food service activities to meeting the nutritional needs of the residents in accordance with budgets and legislative parameters.
• Adopt Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order, and inventory trends
• Educate teams on key levers to improve margins
• Bring value through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
• Follow Operational Excellence fundamentals by maintaining food and labour initiatives
• Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of P&L statements
• Follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations relating to health, safety, wage and hour.
