Job summary

North York General Hospital is seeking an Assistant in the Nursing Resources Office in Toronto to support daily staffing operations. You will liaise with Charge Nurses and Managers to determine staffing needs, schedule clinical staff based on availability, and provide staffing statistics.

The role requires strong organization, independence, and clear communication. The position supports teaching and learning within the hospital's academic mandate and contributes to a safe, healthy environment

Qualifications

• Two years of office experience are required.
• College Diploma in Office Administration or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Electronic Payroll systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Typing speed ≥ 45 w.p.m.
• Experience with KRONOS is an asset.
• Bilingual in French/English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical staffing requests with staff and managers.
• Provide direction for Pool Nurses regarding hospital policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain time schedule requests and attendance records.
• Identify concerns and communicate with the Clinical Team Manager and follow through on resolutions.
• Maintain the Nursing Resources Office including staffing system, filing and records.
• Collect and record statistics related to agency use and staffing requests.
