Job summary

ALTEN Canada is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to design and develop modular systems for nuclear applications. You will lead FEED and detailed design, generate PFDs/PI&Ds, and size critical equipment while collaborating with Mechanical and EI&C teams for manufacturability and testability. The role requires 5–10 years in process plant engineering, P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 5 to 10 years of engineering experience in process plant environments.
• Nuclear industry experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification.
• Knowledge of ASME VIII or III standards.
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience leading projects.
• Gas systems experience.
• Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop FEED and detailed design deliverables for modular systems and process skids.
• Create PFDs, heat and mass balances, P&ID diagrams.
• Size equipment (pumps, columns, heat exchangers) and define specs.
• Develop process control philosophies and QA/test procedures.
• Collaborate with EI&C teams to translate designs for fabrication.
