Job summary

AspiringIT LLC in Ontario is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and engineering change packages for station systems in a nuclear services context.

You will work on pressure-boundary equipment, prepare calculations and reviews, and mentor junior engineers; CSA/ASME standards knowledge is preferred. The role offers exposure to CANDU projects with field support responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 6+ years of experience, preferably in nuclear or power generation.
• Experience with CANDU design and engineering change processes.
• Working knowledge of CSA N285.0, ASME Section III and CSA N286.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and engineering change packages for station systems and components.
• Work on pressure-boundary equipment such as piping, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
• Prepare specifications, design calculations and stress/qualification reviews.
• Support fabrication, field installation and site issue resolution.

• Prepare specifications, design calculations and stress/qualification reviews
• Support fabrication, field installation and site issue resolution
• Mentor and verify the work of junior engineers

What you bring

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
• 6+ years of experience, ideally in nuclear or power generation
• CANDU design and engineering change experience
• Working knowledge of CSA N285.0, ASME Section III and CSA N286

Nice to have

• Welding and NDE knowledge
• Must be eligible for nuclear site security clearance and export-control requirement
