Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Winter 2027 co-op student in physics or engineering to support reactor physics tasks, code adaptation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role provides hands-on experience in reactor physics codes, analyses for reactor design, operation and safety.

You will work with MATLAB, C++, Python, and Linux, contribute to deliverables, and gain exposure to project management and coordination meetings while enjoying a hybrid work culture and flexible training

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in physics and mathematics.
• Familiarity with analytical/design tools such as MATLAB, ETAP, and MathCAD.
• Skilled in coding (C++, Python, FORTRAN); Linux experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and physics team with reactor physics inputs and analyses.
• Support development of engineering, physics, and math deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems.
• Coordinate tasks with multidisciplinary teams and participate in reviews and meetings.
• Assist with departmental administrative tasks and teamwork.
