Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a Winter 2027 co-op Mechanical Engineering student to join the Nuclear Engineering team. You will gain hands-on experience applying mechanical engineering principles to real-world nuclear projects.

You will support designers, document control, and project managers, develop mechanical deliverables, review drawings, and participate in meetings, with a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program at a Canadian university, college, or polytechnic.
• Ability to apply mechanical engineering fundamentals to practical solutions.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineers, Designers, and Managers in day-to-day activities.
• Assist in development and assembly of mechanical deliverables.
• Support design activities and engineering documentation for mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on task scopes and deliverables.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and project documentation.
• Attend technical and project coordination meetings to support delivery.
• Promote a positive team environment and assist project management.
