Insight Medical Imaging in Edmonton is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for evenings and weekends. This full-time role rotates across seven clinics in the Edmonton area, handling patient doses, scans, and cardiac stress procedures. You will perform QC, manage isotope orders, and maintain documentation while delivering high-quality patient care in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures.
  • Understanding of the images required for each exam by Radiologists.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards in nuclear medicine.
  • Ability to manage isotope orders and workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control on hot lab equipment, gamma cameras, and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Manage daily isotope and supply orders for the department.
  • Prepare and administer patient doses, including drawing, recording, injecting, and setting up IVs.
  • Conduct patient interviews, record histories, and supervise recovery after cardiac stress testing.
  • Perform and assist in various Nuclear Medicine scans and cardiac stress procedures (e.g., MIBIs).
  • Complete documentation and organize previous studies, order accompanying X-rays, and maintain housekeeping.

Insight is currently seeking Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full-time position that will rotate between 7 designated clinics in the Edmonton and immediate area, with a schedule of evenings and weekends only.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control on hot lab equipment, gamma cameras, and radiopharmaceuticals, including manufacturing, QC, and shipping from the Insight Radiopharmacy.
  • Manage daily isotope and supply orders for the department.
  • Prepare and administer patient doses, including drawing, recording, injecting, and setting up IVs and ECG leads.
  • Conduct patient interviews, record histories, and supervise recovery following cardiac stress testing.
  • Perform and assist in various Nuclear Medicine scans and cardiac stress procedures (e.g., MIBIs).
  • Complete required documentation, organize previous studies, order accompanying X-rays, and maintain general housekeeping.

Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures and practices.

  • Clinical competency in medical nuclear medicine.
  • Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.

Qualifications

  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
