Job summary

Canada Diagnostic Centres is seeking a certified or soon-to-be-certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our Pacific Place team. You will work with radiologists and healthcare professionals to explain exams, position patients, and acquire high-quality images with compassion.

Casual position with opportunities to expand skills in Bone Mineral Density, collaboration with clinic teams, and access to onboarding, licensing support, and an annual education allowance.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or eligible to be licensed in Canada.
  • Experience in nuclear medicine imaging or strong clinical interest.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine exams under radiologist direction.
  • Explain exams and procedures to patients and address questions.
  • Position patients and ensure comfort during imaging.
  • Operate and troubleshoot nuclear medicine equipment and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinic teams for seamless care.
  • Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and report low inventory.

We are currently looking for a certified, or soon to be certified, casual Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Pacific Place team. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain exams, position patients, adjust equipment, perform and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine Exams: Conduct studies under the direction of radiologists and referring physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
  • Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
  • Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills.
  • Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track equipment performance, document findings, and assist in resolving basic issues.
  • Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Clean and set up exam rooms for patients, reporting low inventory.

  • Professional Membership: Active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Nuclear Medicine Experience: Clinical competency with an interest in refining and expanding skills.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Exposure, or interest in developing skills, in Bone Mineral Density.
