Job summary

Impact Ministries Canada in Kamloops seeks a Financial Manager to lead budgeting, accounting, tax and audit activities, reporting to the CEO and partnering with the Operations Manager.

You will oversee payroll, donations, internal controls and CRA compliance, prepare annual budgets, and provide financial reports. This hourly contract role offers $30–$32 per hour based on experience. Work hours are set at hire, with BC Employment Standards compliant remuneration.

Qualifications

• Effective, confident communicator
• Comprehensive knowledge of Impact Ministries’ initiatives and how that relates to the financial aspect of all programs
• Excellent administrative and workflow practices
• Budget, audit, accounting, tax experience

Responsibilities

• Annual budget preparation
• Ensure budget priorities and expenditures stay within the donation margins and board-approved budget
• Ensure compliance with CRA and CCCC
• Compliance with GAAP
• Financial reports upon request by CEO, Operations Manager or Finance Committee
• Audit preparation and procedures
• Internal controls maintenance
• Oversee Systems Administrator in managing CRA Tax Receipts
• Oversee online giving, PAP and credit card donations
• Oversee insurance policies alongside Canadian Operations Manager
• Oversee payroll, employee benefits, RRSPs and WorkSafe
