Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Manager Corporate Finance & Operations for a direct hire opportunity in Barrie, ON within a mission-driven nonprofit charitable organization. This role provides strategic leadership across accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, financial systems, internal controls, and compliance.

The Manager Corporate Finance & Operations will play a key role in modernizing finance and operational systems, supporting software implementation, improving reporting processes, and leading a finance team through change. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys building strong processes, mentoring staff, partnering with senior leadership, and contributing to an organization with meaningful community impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support implementation and ongoing operation of accounting, budgeting, HRIS, payroll, and financial reporting systems.
• Develop, improve, and maintain internal controls across finance, budgeting, payroll, and related operational processes.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, ministry reporting, audit preparation, and year-end working papers.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, financial modeling, variance analysis, and budget meetings with managers and directors.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and support finance staff while reviewing reports, reconciliations, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Public Sector Accounting Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards, and applicable reporting requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $92,800 to $97,000 per year.
• Job type: Direct hire.
• Work setting: Office-based role in Barrie, ON.
