Job summary

North York Harvest Food Bank (NYHFB) invites an Administrative and Finance Associate to support FoodReach, a social enterprise advancing purchasing power and community wealth-building for Toronto’s non-profit sector. The role focuses on financial administration, inventory coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.

The position is full-time, on-site in Toronto with occasional work-from-home opportunities, and includes benefits after probation, plus pension and vacation.

Qualifications

• 1-2 year diploma or equivalent experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Experience with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with project administration, including order processing, scheduling, data tracking, filing and progress tracking.
• Collaborates with Operations on shipments and inquiries.
• Assists with financial administration: coding AP/AR invoices, inputting sales/expenses, issuing memos and refunds, processing payments, statements, digitizing records.
• Participates in continuous improvement of Operations for satisfaction, efficiency and impact.
• Contributes to growth of the social enterprise and Community Wealth-Building initiatives.
• Meets deadlines and supports work-plan expectations.
• Contributes to a positive organizational culture and team.
