Job summary

The Sudbury Catholic District School Board is seeking Non-Certified Supply Teachers for daily occasional work when no OCT certified Occasional Teachers are available. You would support K-12 students under the direction of the Principal/Vice Principal to maintain a safe, caring learning environment.

Responsibilities include following the timetable, supervising students, and assisting with activities provided by the classroom teacher or administrator to ensure smooth replacements when needed.

Qualifications

• Currently registered and completing a Bachelor of Education or Concurrent Education program leading to OCT Certification or awaiting certification by the Ontario College of Teachers
• A Catholic Baptismal certificate and/or a current Pastoral reference from a Catholic Priest
• Proficiency in oral and written French is an asset

• Provide supervision and guidance as students complete work/activities provided by the classroom teacher or administrator
• Support students within the classroom to create a safe, caring learning environment where all students can thrive
• Follow the established timetable and assist the classroom teacher or administrator during replacement work

Job description

The Sudbury Catholic District School Board is hiring Non-Certified Supply Teachers available for daily occasional work when no Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certified Occasional Teachers are available. Non-Certified Supply Teachers may be called to work with students from K-12. Call-outs are as needed to do replacement work, there is no guarantee of hours. Under the direction of the Principal/Vice Principal, you will support students within the classroom to create a safe, caring learning environment where all students can thrive. Following the established timetable, you will provide supervision and guidance as students complete work/activities provided by the classroom teacher or administrator.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Currently registered and completing a Bachelor of Education or Concurrent Education program leading to OCT Certification or awaiting certification by the Ontario College of Teachers
