Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) seeks certified Occasional Teachers to join the Secondary OT Roster for Grades 9-12. Occasional Teachers replace short-term absences and are an integral part of our district.

Local residency in the Ottawa area is required for onboarding, with relocation possible within 60 days of offer. Interviews are planned after competition closure in October 2026, with a November 2026 start window.

Qualifications

• Must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
• If OCT certificate is pending, you may still submit your application.
• Must hold both Intermediate and Senior qualifications.
• Must hold two teachable subjects (which exist within OCDSB).
• If you have French and/or Tech qualifications, you may be eligible with one teachable subject in both Intermediate and Senior.
