Job summary

Champion Petfoods in Alberta, Canada is expanding and seeking a Night Shift Production Operator for Packaging to ensure packaging meets specifications with emphasis on health, safety, food safety and quality. You will coordinate packaging production schedules, operate automated packaging equipment, assist in setup and teardown sanitation, and maintain timely records in the Packaging department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to operate basic computer systems and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate packaging production schedules with the Production Shift Supervisor.
• Operate automated packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in set-up and tear-down sanitation processes.
• Complete required product tests and paperwork, maintain records.
• Use the Packaging department inventory/record system (M3) for items.
• Maintain neat, organized work area per safety policies.
