Job summary

Champion Petfoods, an award-winning pet food producer, is seeking a Packaging Production Operator for our state-of-the-art facility in Alberta. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and focuses on safe, efficient operation of packaging equipment and adherence to food safety standards.

You will perform line checks, assist with inventory, and collaborate with team members to ensure quality and timely production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED necessary or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently in a modern facility.
• Maintain neat, clean work area and follow health, food safety and enviro policies.
• Conduct visual inspection of packaging and remove damaged items from line.
• Assist with daily inventory of bulk and liquid ingredients and weigh/record checks.
• Operate lift trucks (sit/stand) as required and collaborate with production staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
