Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a qualified Millwright to maintain and service equipment in our Edmonton facility. The role supports safe plant operations, ensures welfare standards, and requires readiness for overnight shifts. Overtime on weekends may be required to meet production needs.

Applicants must hold a Journeyman/Millwright Red Seal, bring their own hand tools, and demonstrate strong troubleshooting and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Ticket or Red Seal Millwright Certification (required).
• Must have own hand tools (Power tools are provided).
• Strong knowledge of plant and equipment operations.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team-based environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service equipment used in the facility for daily production.
• Support safe plant operations and uphold a safe working environment.
• Ensure equipment and processes align with animal welfare standards.
• Work overnight shifts and assist with weekend overtime as needed.
