Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our Maintenance Team. You will maintain and service production equipment, support safe operations, and ensure processes meet our animal welfare standards. The role requires a Journeyman/Millwright certification and the ability to work overnight, including weekend overtime.

Night shift includes a premium. A strong background in mechanical troubleshooting, tool handling, and cross-functional collaboration is essential for success on this

Qualifications

• Must have Journeyman Ticket or Red Seal Millwright Certification
• Own hand tools required (Power tools provided)
• Strong knowledge of plant and equipment operations
• Able to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues quickly
• Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Capable of organizing, prioritizing and planning daily tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to work overnight shifts
• Availability for weekend overtime as production demands require
• Physically able to handle heavy equipment (>25 kg)
• Poultry or food production experience is an asset

Job description

The Opportunity:

As part of Maple Leaf Foods’ Maintenance Team, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility for the daily production of our products. In doing so, they will support safe plant operations, uphold a safe working environment for all team members, and ensure equipment and processes align with our commitment to animal welfare standards.

Please note that this role operates on a night shift schedule.

OurMillwright rate is $46.81/hour, with an additional premium of $0.70/hour for the night shift.
