Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking a seasoned Millwright to maintain and service equipment for daily production. You will ensure safe plant operations, perform troubleshooting, and execute work orders with strong mechanical and electrical skills.

Successful candidates will hold a Red Seal Millwright license, have 3–5 years’ experience, own tools, and be able to work weekends as needed. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold Millwright license (Red Seal) and have electrical repair knowledge.
• Preferably 3–5 years’ experience in a maintenance role.
• Must own hand tools and be capable of reading drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/repair/install processing equipment and perform repairs.
• Carry out work requests and apply corrective actions.
• Perform regular Work Orders and track inventory/labour.
• Read mechanical drawings/schematics for repairs.
• Machining, fabrication, welding for repairs/upgrades.
• Adhere to Food/Health and Safety policies.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
