Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods’ Maintenance Team is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain and service equipment used in daily production. You will support safe plant operations, uphold animal welfare standards, and work a night shift schedule.

The successful candidate will have a Journeyman Ticket or Red Seal Millwright Certification and must own hand tools (power tools provided). Experience troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications

Job description

The Opportunity

As part of Maple Leaf Foods’ Maintenance Team, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility for the daily production of our products. In doing so, they will support safe plant operations, uphold a safe working environment for all team members, and ensure equipment and processes align with our commitment to animal welfare standards. Please note that this role operates on a night shift schedule.

Our Millwright rate is $46.81/hour, with an additional premium of $0.70/hour for the night shift.

What You’ll Bring

• Willingness and ability to work overnight shifts
• Availability for weekend overtime as production demands require
• Physically capable of handling heavy equipment (in excess of 25 kg)
• Poultry or food production experience is considered an asset
• The successful candidate will be results‑oriented, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all employees.
