Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a General Helper to prepare, present and serve meals and drinks, ensuring quality and presentation. Overnight shift from 11pm to 7am is required.

Take orders with outstanding hospitality, prepare beverages, and assemble food items while following food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and inventory in BOH/FOH areas and deliver fast, helpful service to guests.

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional Guest experiences.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining food safety standards.
• Passion for serving, making food and beverages and good time management.
• Learn to operate various equipment, carry boxes up to 25lbs, working in cold environments.
• Enjoy working with a successful team in a safe environment.
• Strong work ethic, punctual and responsible.
• Previous experience in guest service is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from guests with hospitality through friendly attitude, attentive behavior and product knowledge.
• Prepare beverages according to standards including marking lids and pots.
• Prepare bagels, wraps, sandwiches following proper builds and maintain food safety.
• Operate ovens/egg cookers and prepare baked products (muffins, donuts, breads, eggs, sausages).
• Ensure all showcase specifications are met.
• Clean production area and back of house daily.
• Receive and store inventory during delivery and stock FOH daily.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant interior, exterior, parking lot, dining room and restrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment each shift.
• Maintain speed of service with urgency to fill orders and meet guests' needs.
• Promptly recover from guest concerns or complaints by making it right.
