Qualifications

• Experience (1-3 years) in the hospitality industry is a strong asset, especially night audit experience.
• Basic accounting skills would be considered an asset.

• Proficiency with computerized systems; MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to gather, compare, analyze and present data.
• Ability to deal with all levels of management and staff professionally.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Uses suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and other hotel services.
• Posts and files all charges to guest, master, and city ledger accounts.
• Reports unusual occurrences or requests to the manager.
• Knows safety and emergency procedures and accident prevention.
• Maintains front desk cleanliness and neatness.
• Handover shift log-book.
• Follow night audit procedures and check-in procedures.
• Assigns rooms in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Records wake-up calls and ensures timely delivery.
• Sets up breakfast where applicable.
• Handles internal controls as per hotel policies and procedures.
