Job summary

Nova Hotels in Yellowknife is seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead overnight hotel operations, ensuring safety, service, and financial accuracy. You will manage the Night Audit, Front Desk duties, shuttle coordination, and security during night shifts while guiding a cross-functional overnight team.

The role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to make operational decisions when senior management is off property.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel Front Desk, Night Audit, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Experience completing a hotel Night Audit is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel PMS systems; Opera Cloud experience is an asset.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent guest service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or challenging guest situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Comfortable supervising multiple hotel operations simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight Night Audit and Front Desk operations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Act as the senior Manager on Duty during overnight hours and supervise overnight staff.
• Address overnight guest concerns professionally and perform service recovery as needed.
• Oversee overnight shuttle operations and coordinate with Front Desk for pickups/drop-offs.
• Supervise overnight Security and ensure safety procedures and incident reporting.
• Provide leadership to Front Desk, Shuttle, and Security teams during night shifts.
• Prepare clear overnight management reports and effective handover to morning teams.
