Job summary

Nova Inn Edson is seeking a reliable Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent (part-time) to join our Guest Services team. You will be the overnight face of the hotel, handling check-ins and check-outs while reconciling daily revenue and postings to ensure financial accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in hospitality, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; hospitality training is an asset.
• 1–2 years hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
• Experience with POS systems or switchboards is an asset.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional guest service during check-ins and check-outs.
• Resolve guest concerns confidently and ensure a positive experience.
• Complete the nightly audit process, balancing revenues and postings.
• Review and reconcile daily transactions, identifying discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute end-of-day reports in a timely manner.
• Process credit card authorizations and express check-outs.
• Monitor reservations and ensure accuracy, identifying duplicates.
• Support Guest Services operations including wake-up calls and communications.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk environment.
• Stay alert to unusual activity and report concerns as needed.

What You Will Be Doing

As our Night Auditor, you will be the overnight face of the hotel while also ensuring the accuracy of daily financial and operational reporting.

• Provide warm, professional guest service, handling check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries with care and accuracy
• Resolve guest concerns confidently and ensure a positive experience every time
• Complete the nightly audit process, including balancing room revenue, food and beverage postings, and guest accounts
• Review and reconcile all daily transactions, identifying and correcting discrepancies
• Prepare and distribute end-of-day reports in a timely manner
• Process credit card authorizations and express check-outs
