Job summary

Nova Hotels in Canada is seeking a Night Auditor to join our Guest Services team. You will be the overnight face of the hotel and ensure the accuracy of nightly financial and operational reporting.

You will balance room revenue, analyze daily transactions, handle check-ins/check-outs, and provide excellent guest service while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor throughout overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; hospitality training is an asset.
• 1 to 2 years of hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
• Experience with POS systems or switchboards is an asset.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• A positive attitude and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional guest service during check-ins, check-outs and inquiries.
• Resolve guest concerns confidently to ensure a positive experience.
• Complete nightly audit including balancing room revenue, food & beverage postings, and guest accounts.
• Review and reconcile daily transactions and correct discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute end-of-day reports promptly.
• Process credit card authorizations and express check-outs.
• Monitor reservations, identify duplicates, and ensure accuracy.
• Support Guest Services operations including wake-up calls and guest communication.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk environment.
• Stay alert to unusual activity and report concerns as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is a hotel setting, which has the following conditions: medium-high noise environment; high traffic area for internal guests, exposure to moving parts and equipment such as vacuum, steam cleaner, washer, and dryer. Potential exposure to theft and/or belligerent guests. Exposure to chemicals. Frequently working in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment. Exposure to sharps and biohazards.
