Job summary

The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick hires a Community Liaison to support newcomers through individualized coaching, employment readiness, and employer engagement as part of the Newcomer Connections team in Saint John and surrounding communities.

You will collaborate with settlement staff and partners to deliver workshops, maintain client records, monitor outcomes, and promote inclusive, client-centered service that opens pathways to meaningful employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in employment coaching, career development, or related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a cross-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized employment support to newcomers through coaching and follow-up sessions.
• Develop employment action plans aligned with clients' skills and goals.
• Assist with resumes, cover letters, interview prep, and job search strategies.
• Facilitate employment and orientation workshops to enhance readiness.
• Maintain client caseloads and accurate records in databases.

Education
