Job summary

The YMCA of the National Capital Region is seeking an Employer Liaison for Power of Trades to serve newcomers and employers across Ontario. You will promote the program, run pre-employment workshops, and connect participants to skilled-trades opportunities.

You will report to the Director and Senior Director of Employment and Newcomer Services to ensure smooth program delivery and successful placements. Ideal candidates have recruitment or employment counselling experience, strong facilitation

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment, training or employment programs.
• Experience with job development, matching and employment counselling.
• Strong facilitation and curriculum development skills for career readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach and program promotion within the community network.
• Develop and facilitate pre-employment and job-prep workshops.
• Connect participants with skilled trades employers for work placements.
• Ensure program procedures meet contractual obligations.
• Recruit potential employers for work placements and guest speakers.
